This time of year can be tricky. The question of presents is a delicate one that requires thought and a little bit of intuition. I am not going to pretend that I know what men in my life want but I can definitely go down the list of what I find relevant at the moment and easy to buy for women (meaning if someone has no idea what size to get just look for the right accessories like a bag or gloves).
The easiest way to get a woman excited is to give her a great bag in an amazing color. No sizes no problems. My choice is the Saint Laurent Sac De Jour that gained classic status by now. It is timeless.
Gloves is another wonderful gift without too much information about the woman. My pick is the super soft Gucci lamb leather long-length gloves in charcoal. This is a subtle way of giving something very chic.
Perfume can be tricky so sticking with the classics is always best. I find that Creed Millesime Imperial is a universally liked scent without being too cliché. Would also make a beautiful gift.
Another gift that does not require too much inside information would be a small pendant that looks elegant and is a keepsake. Classics always win for me so the Alhambra collection by Van Cleef & Arpels is a no brainer. Add a little sparkle with a diamond in the center and voilà the perfect gift.
Beautiful coffee-table book about Kate Moss would also be a wonderful gift. I personally collect them so there can never be enough.
For those with more inside information as to the sizes of the woman I suggest the ultimate in luxury – an ivory wool-crepe jumpsuit to wear to a holiday party. White color during the colder months will stand out among the sea of black dresses. My choice is Emilia Wickstead, the classicality trained upcoming british designer.
Impossible to resist classic Alexander McQueen tuxedo blazer is another “can’t go wrong” option. It would add to any wardrobe.
What girl does not like shoes? And more precisely over the knee Jimmy Choos!?!? Yes Yes Yes!!!
Every girl needs a dress and with so many parties to go to there can never be enough. This Alexander McQueen sweater dress has enough drama to look dressy yet is still comfortable to wear in the cold. Just add some statement jewelry and the Jimmy Choo boots from above and it is a match made in heaven.
